Geidi Primes Album cover hand drawn by Grimes
Tracklist
Geidi Primes was released on January 10, 2010. This album was created using mainly Garageband. Grimes initially said in an Interview with "Pitchfork" that it was created with inspiration from the novel series Dune by Frank Herbert. The opening track "Caladan" refers to the planet Caladan like in the book. "Sardaukar Levenbrech" refers to the military rank of Levenbrach, a part of the fictional army Sardaukar. "Zoal, the face dancer" is about a creature that can shapeshift. Zoal is the creature on the front cover album work. The reason why it has this long black hair is because it is like a universe that is infinite according to grimes. "Feyd Rutha Dark Heart" refers to the primary antagonist in the first of the novel series. "Shadout mapes" refers to another character. Lastly, "Beast Infection" is the nickname of Rabban. Grimes has always said this was one of the most creative albums she's ever made. At one point it is said she questioned why she created it but was grateful the project was seen through.

Dune by Frank Herbert was the source of the inspiration behind the album. Throughout it are many references to the different books throughout the series.
